FAQs

How do BlissLights work?

BlissLights are patented, simple-to-use in/outdoor lighting projectors that create an explosion of thousands of pin points of light which move in unique far-reaching trajectories – and they're LOW VOLTAGE. Each projector incorporates laser and optical elements to create a breathtaking lighting effect much like thousands of fireflies on trees and landscape plants/hedges. Under canopies, gazebos and overhangs they point upward to create a mesmerizing 'universe' of stars.

BlissLights are designed for both commercial and homeowner applications. Lighting industry professionals use BlissLights to illuminate hard-to-light areas and to create unique never-before-seen lighting experiences! Amaze family and friends by transforming your home or outdoor living space into a magical starry experience within minutes. Just choose your location, plug in the light, and point at a favorite focal point in your outdoor living space. It's fun to experiment with every aspect of the home landscape, and since it comes with an AC adaptor you can quickly and easily change the location of the light to suit your mood.

Are BlissLights Safe?

Yes, BlissLights are completely safe to use. BlissLights is registered with the CDRH (Center for Devices and Radiological Health) and takes great precautions to ensure user safety.

How do I to get the most WOW! from my BlissLights?

BlissLights are best-suited for dark outdoor areas you'd love to transform without the cost, time and effort of purchasing light strands and wrapping/hanging lights from a ladder. Plus you don't have to worry about changing burned out light bulbs or replacing dead light strands. The patented holographic chamber of the BlissLights creates an explosion of vibrant light points from a single device. Ambient light (streetlights, security lighting, other pre-lit decorations) can, however, diminish the eye-popping effects that the BlissLights creates.

How does ambient Light can subdue the intensity of BlissLights effects?

For best results in an area with ambient light you can't control, such as streetlights, choose a primary focal point feature in your landscape, such as a large tree/shrub with leaves or an evergreen by staking the BlissLights in the ground near the plant base pointing the head (use Allen wrench provided to loosen and retighten position of projector head) upward. It's best to experiment before settling on a location – sometimes a foot or two away from the base gives more coverage for larger trees. The slightest breeze will create a mesmerizing and soothing firefly effect as the leaves gently rustle.

For best results in areas where you can control the ambient light, all you need to do is experiment with selected lights turned off to see how it alters the effect you are looking for.

How BlissLights work versus traditional LED and Incandescent Lights?

BlissLights are a unique innovation unlike any LED or incandescent lights you may have used in the past or are using now. The closer to your target, the denser the light cluster will appear – great for targeting focal points you want to highlight in the landscape. As you increase the distance between the projector and a broader target point (e.g. a front section of your home) the cluster of lights will expand but the INTENSITY of the lights never diminishes. So it's always good to experiment with distance and angle of the projector before staking it in the ground and tightening the head into the position you like best.

Additionally, BlissLights were designed to be an 'elegant' yet jaw-dropping effect. The good news is that your neighbors won't complain about the excessive glare. The idea is to create an amazing environment for you to enjoy and WOW your guests in a few minutes without lighting up the neighborhood.

Why aren't BlissLights available in white?

White lasers don't exist at this time and it was found that the green laser is the best choice for year-round use on landscape foliage, patio areas, etc. because its appearance in use on greenery renders its color irrelevant. You'll hear "Wow!", or "How did you do that?!" – rarely, "why is it green?". You can accent trees, hedge rows, porticos, patios, decks, outdoor entertaining areas, under gazebos/canopies without worrying about the time of year.

Are BlissLights safe to point to the sky?

While BlissLights are safe for everyday use, they are still light lasers and will keep on projecting in any direction you aim the product at. Please note that any BlissLights product, if being used outside, should not be projected any higher than 45 degrees as to ensure the laser does not interfere with any air traffic.

Why is the Red light not as "bright" as the other colors?

What's the difference between the Spright Move and the original Spright?

Both products project thousands of pin-points of light, but the Spright Move has a moving "firefly" effect while the Spright has a static "firefly" effect. If there is wind, the original Spright will look like it is moving, but only the Move has moving laser patterns.

What can I do to help prevent theft of my BlissLights?

Suggested BlissLights Spright Theft Prevention

NOTICE: All theft prevention tips are suggestions for your general information. BlissLights will not be held liable for any theft or damages of any kind to any BlissLights products. Your use of this information is to be used at your own risk. The contents of this page are subject to change without notice

-Plants:

Plants or foliage around your Spright will help deter theft as the Spright will be hidden and a potential thief may not be able to see where the light is projecting from.

-Metal Clamp:

By purchasing BlissLights metal clamp accessory, customers are able to mount their Sprights high off the ground. This accessory reduces the possibility of theft as the Spright is out of reach.

-Removing the head of the spright every night:

Simply unscrewing the Spright head from the metal stake and bringing the head of the Spright indoors every night will lessen the possibility of theft.

-Adding a cable to a metal or rebar stake that can be driven into the ground::

Purchasing a rebar stake from a home improvements store and burying it deep in the ground can help deter potential theft activity. Simply drill a hole at the top of the rebar and loop a wire cable through the hole of the rebar as well as tightly around the neck of the Spright fixture. Bury the rebar deep into the ground.

An example of a rebar stake would be: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Weyerhaeuser-1-2-in-x-4-ft-Rebar-35616/202094286.

An example of cable would be: http://www.homedepot.com/p/EarthCo-Shade-Sails-4-ft-Stainless-Steel-Cable-Kit-017/100676000

This method can also be used if you have multiple Sprights in your yard. By securing the Sprights with rebar stakes and burying metal cables underground between each Spright, this will provide added protection.

What is the difference between the BlissLight Spright and BlissLights Spright Smart?

The Blisslights Spright projects thousands of pin-points of light onto any surface. It covers an area of 30 by 30 feet for every 10 feet and 50 by 50 feet for every 20 feet away from surface. The BlissLights Spright Smart holds all the great qualities of the original BlissLights Spright and projects the same static “firefly” effect, but has been redesigned with a new housing.

The Spright is made out of metal housing giving it a stronger, more durable housing. The Spright Smart has a new commercial grade design that is made out of binary resin (high-grade plastic) and is currently exclusive to QVC and The Shopping Channel in Canada. Both products produce the same effect, therefore the choice lies on opting for either a metal or binary resin housing for the product.

What is the difference between a MOVE and a MOTION?

Both products are part of the Spright family, however, the MOVE is made out of metal and produces a moving starfield. The MOTION is made out of ABS (industrial plastic) and also produces a moving starfield that users can control the speed with an included remote control.

What is the BlissLights COLOR?

The BlissLights COLOR projects 1,000's of static pinpoints of light over a 16-color LED backdrop. You can pick the COLOR from 4 laser options (note: lasers do not change color) and you can choose how to combine it with the built-in LED that is user selectable. Choose from green, blue, purple, or red!

What are Open Box products?

Open Box items have been opened and touched and/or returned, but are in great condition and have not been repaired or refurbished.

What is the difference between ABS and metal products?

The original Spright and Spright Move are made with a metal housing. BlissLights' newer products, such as the MOTION and COLOR, are made with an ABS housing. This is an industrial grade plastic that is made to withstand harsh weather elements. The ABS housing makes the product more light weight and inexpensive for the consumer.
