Easy DIY Halloween Decorations

Fall is officially here, and you know what that means...Halloween is just around the corner!

Whether you're planning for a party or just getting into the spirit (pun intended!), here are a few quick and easy ways to take your Halloween decor to the next level.

Glow-in-the-Dark Pumpkins
Want a safe and fun alternative to traditional carved pumpkins? Just pick up some glow-in-the dark paint from your local hobby store, and you're set. Simply paint the pumpkin as-is, or carving enthusiasts can add paint afterwards to highlight their designs. Bonus: Light with the COLOR for truly spectacular results.

Paper Bats
Nothing says spooky quite like a colony of bats. All you need is several sheets of black construction paper, scissors, a stapler, and a pen. If you'd rather not freehand draw the bat outlines, you can find a template online and print out a few copies at different sizes. Then, staple the templates to a stack of 3-4 sheets of construction paper and cut around the outlines. When you've finished cutting, remove the staples. Separate the bats and tape to walls, hang from strings, or display them in windows for spooky atmosphere.

Hanging Jack-O-Lanterns

Add some extra Halloween smiles with hanging jack-o-lanterns! Grab some orange Chinese lanterns and a black marker, then open the lanterns. Color a spooky face on each one (don't press too hard or the paper will tear). Hang around the house, decorate your patio, or display on your porch to welcome trick-or-treaters.

BlissLights COLOR

The COLOR adds instant ambience to your party or front door display. Use spooky midnight blue to highlight ghosts and black cats, or blood red to create a fun scary-eyes effect in surrounding trees. Any of the 16 LED colors are great for accenting displays or light the path for costumed explorers.
